Neonatal intensive care unit in lotus hospital is well equipped with the latest technologies offering the highest level of care to preterm and critically ill babies.

Our 24X7 care system, equipped with neonatal trained nurses and technologies, provides a nurturing and healthy environment to our little patients. Babies also receive Kangaroo Mother Care in the NICU as a part of Developmental Supportive Care program & this has made significant impact in reducing duration of hospital stay, morbidity & mortality in these VLBW babies.

Visual assessment is also done in the centre itself by the experts for all high risk babies and early intervention therapy is instituted when indicated.

Dr. Hetal Shah

From 2003 to 2005 he worked in Krishna critical child care center, Baroda and Varun children hospital as Paediatric and neonatal intensivist. He joined Kasturba Hospital in 2005 as consultant Paediatric and Neonatologist. From 2012 he joined Lotus Hospital as full time consultant Paediatric and Neonatologist. In this period he treated almost 20000 neonates and 50000 paediatric patients with various medical and surgical disorders. He has very vast experience of managing critically ill neonates.
